I have very sadly, forgotten all my nursery rhymes. I cannot remember what comes after:
Little Jack Horner Sat in a corner.
At first, i thought it was 'eating his curds and whey. Along came a spider...' Then someone said that was little miss muppet. But i can't remember little miss muppet either.
And today, i was saying that the wheels on the bus went up and down, then i realised that it doesn't make sense, and ning ning said it was round and round. Oh well...
Nursery rhymes are stupid. You tell a poor little baby that when the wind blows, the cradle will rock and the bough will break and the baby will fall down with the cradle? Like errr.... Poor baby will get nightmares or sth. Nursery rhymes are saddistic. You sentence a poor little spidey to spending the rest of its life crawling up a water spout, getting washed down again by the rain and then climbing up again? Isn't it telling us that hardwork amounts to nothing because there will always be rain to wash it all away? And a poor little egg falls off the wall and all the poor king's horses are made to eat omelette for breakfast again? Can you imagine the poor horses trying to get the egg down their throats? Whoever wrote these nursery rhymes are truly saddistic.
