16th March Today is Wed, we had track training again. Chloe was confirmed to be taking part in 200, 400 and 800. She can't do both 200m and 600m time trials at the same time, so guess what? Mr Tan let her do 200m! And i had to do 600m. So fair!!!!! Todae, xinqi, ruixin and I, lihua, esther ran 600m. Mr Tan wanted to try more pple. Ladeda... In the end, the fastest 3 was still Xinqi, Ruixin and I. Lihua became 1st reserve, and esther 2nd reserve. I think other pple did run too, but i forgot who. Thashi cldn't run again. So wasted! Rachel had a flu, so she didn't come on Mon, she didn't run on Wed also coz she was recuperating. Xinqi improved by 3 secs, doing her 600m in 1.55mins. I have nothing to say, except that she's inhuman. haha. Ruixin ran so fast todae, i cldn't pace with her. She was trying to keep up with Xinqi lor... I improved also! I improved by 1sec! My timing is now 2:09. Big diff... Ruixin is the one who improved he most. her timing todae was 2:04! Poof! she improved by 6 secs. I shd have started sprinting earlier, then i might've been able to catch up with Rui Xin as well, instead of just Lihua and Esther. :p After time trials, we did the same workout as the 200m sprinters. Chloe and the 200m sprinters started first. We did the (run 200m, walk 200m)x3 workout again, but 2 sets of it this time. So it was basically times 6. We started on our 4th run while Chloe's grp was doing their last. Chloe suffers from short term memory loss i tell you. She forgot that we were on our last round at the same time as her! When she was getting ready to do last round i was like "Chloe! Finally! We were with you all the while rite? This is our last round! Yay!" Chloe was like "Yeah rite jo." Hmph. meanie. Fnished our workout 10 mins after Chloe, after all, we did start about 5 mins after her and the 200m sprinters. Did stretching and cooldown quickly before walking out to maingate with Chloe. Went to Paragon for a dental appointment! The dentist looked and my teeth and said it needed braces, but it was not in SEVERE need, so the choice was up to me. And this particular dentist for no good reason, wants to charge me $7000 for the pair of braces! No way! Ate lunch at Orchard. My mum went to buy some stuff. -ahems, chloe, you noe what, don't you?- I was super bored and followed her around sian, coz there was nothing interesting around. I actually wanted to go home and sleep. Aniwae, my mum pointed out that if i went to where the fitting rooms were, there were 2 nice fat soft squishy red sofa like seats. So i went there with my sis and we hogged the 2 chairs. I fell asleep almost instantly. half an hour later, my mother woke me up and said she was FINALLY done with her shopping. Phew! Went home after that.
15th March This is my only freeday throughout the entire holiday. Stayed at home and slacked. Went to see the optician coz i have awfully poor eyesight. Optician said its coz i wear my contacts for too short hrs. Im supposed to wear them for 8 hrs. I tend to wear them for... 4-5 hrs? Whatever... I don't sleep 8hrs, and we're supposed to wear when we're sleeping, so how do I wear it for 8 hrs? If i wear it before i sleep, it gets dry and doesnt work properly. Bleagh!
14th March, Mon After the tiring but incredible amazing race yesterday, I had to wake up to reality and face it that even though its March hols, I still have to wake up early in the morning, (maybe not early, but its early for school hols) for track practise. Luckily, track practise was at RJ. I like the RJ track its really nice. Better than Bukit Gombak's at any rate, but I'm not supposed to know this til Saturday. I'm actually writing this on the 21st, like I did the earlier post. My blog only came into existence yesterday, but I've wanted to blog all these since they happened. Went for track as usual, Mr Tan decided he wanted to put Ruixin, Xinqi, jie and I into 4x800m and 4.400m, so he askedus to do a 600m time trial to try out. Bleagh. Thashi was actually supposed to do too, but she couldn't coz her ankle was hurting, i think. Xinqi and Chloe forged ahead at once. Ruixin and I decided to pace each other so we finished the 1st round at the same speed, with chloe and xinqi 40m in front? Aniwae, Ruixin started to speed up, she was ahead of me by 0.3m most likely we kept at that pace till we reached the last 100m mark, then i increased speed, so i was at the same place at her, but she increased speed too, so i cldn't overtake her. We ended up getting the same timing coz we crossed together. 2:10. Kinda lousy, but not that bad for a first time running at 600m. Chloe was super pleased coz she got 2:02. A 5 second improvement from her previous time trial. Xinqi being some kinda dunno what inhuman machine, clocked 1.58. Pro rite? Was tired, so after that, Mr Tan abandoned his plan of making us run another 600m. I'd die!!! Or rather, another 600m without break, we ended up doing (run 200m, walk 200m) x3 workout. Not too bad lar. At least its not dash 200m 10 times or something. While we did cool down, I overheard some RI guy saying to his friend, "Oy! Why just now you din't wait for me when i was shitting in the toilet?" Are they really our brother school? Chloe now thinks RI pple are Retarded Idiots. She was kinda peeved with them coz they told us to clear lanes 3 and 4, then they came racing round on lanes 1,2,3 and 4. Chloe got a shock! So she yelled at them calling them stupid idiots and liars. haha. When track practise was over, walked out to traffic light with jie and xinqi. They crossed the road to J8 side while i continued walking along. Saw a bus coming so i hastened my steps. 156 it was so i had to run. Got up the bus and sat down. 2 secs later a fat doofus came and sat down next to me, namely, my brother Nicholas Ng. Dunno why i was on the same bus as me. After all, he got on from MacRitchie. His training was there coz we were using the track. Muahahaha! :p Nothing else really eventful happened.
Sunday, 13th March The Amazing Race was today, checked if Amanda was in MY grp in the morning. Turns out she was. Yay! North 13! Aniwae, assembled at front of church and waited for the rest. Amanda and I folded our sleeves, the trademark of an RGS girl, haha. Went to chapel for further insructions when i met Chloe again (coz i met her outside too!), as usual, she was being her hyper self, boucing up and down. Maybe not, but she was chloeish. Theres no other way to describe it. Our grp reported, and we got our clue. When we cld leave, we followed sister limin out of the chapel, where ah ma linda tried to block us, which was a kinda sad attempt, seeing that despite popular belief, I'm in actual fact not THAT fat. So... Amanda and I raced to the bus stop. I told her it as good 200m sprint practise. :p We had to SQUEEZE on the bus. As in really really squeeze, coz one member of our grp had already gone up the crowded bus, and 3 or 4 grps were already there. Since it was so squeezy, when one of the other grps were poring over their clue and discussing which station to do first, I invited myself into the gang and purposely bent over their clue so they would realise it was futile discussing clues there. I'm mean, i know, but too bad. :p Bus stopped at the stop before MacRitchie Reservoir carpark (that was our first destination). We were about to get down when one of the sec 4s, i forgot which of them it was amidst the crowd and confusion, realised that it was the wrong stop, and getting down at the stop after wld be nearer. Unfortunately for another grp, they didn't realise that. So off they went, when the bus moved off they started running, coz they realised we didn't get off. The bus, was obviously faster then their running. At the next stop, Amanda and I decided to do another 200m sprint and lead our pack. But when we reached, after waiting for like.. 2-3mins, sis limin still hadn't appeared. So amanda and I just stood there catching our breaths and watching the other teams run past us as our team members reached us. Still no sign of Val n sis limin. Ater waiting for a long time, sis limin and val finally reached us. Apparently, val had left her hp on the bus or something like that. Quickly, we hurried to the stations. Saw chloe's grp there, finishing their first station and starting on their second. We hurriedthrough our tasks, basically, transferring guppies and frogs to different containers. From there, we took 156 to Bishan. (156 was my suggestion coz i take 156 and 156 only most of the time.) Went there, walked to Grandmother's HDB flat. Blk 222 i think it was. Can't remember. There we were told that we were the 6th grp to arrive. Hah! We were assigned blk 221, i think, which is the blk next to my grandma's blk. It was kinda lucky dat 221 wasn'y my aunt's blk as well. My aunt stays at one of the blks near my grandma's blk, but I'm not sure which one. Collecting 100kg of newspapers was tough. Real tough. Thats what slowed us down loads. After runnig through the entire blk, we had but 60kg. I paired up with Kat! Kat's a nice partner. One of the hses Kat and I went to had a HUGE stack of newspapers, (we saw through the open windows). So we knock on the door and talk to a little boy through the window, we ask him if they have spare newspapers to give us, which they did have. So the little boy went calling to his mummy asking whether they could give newspapers. But this man sitting on the couch, i assume he's the boy's father, said "Mei you bao zhi, wo men mei you!" Which is basically, "Don't have newspapers, we don't have!", when directly translated to English. Its so... mean. Anyway, we couldn't do anything except say 'thank you' and walk away rite... When we finally got done, Im not gonna say how, we did something called run like a mad person to the bishan mrt station at j8. I think that run was probably about 800m! Amanda and I ran in front again, but we couldn't run all the way coz we were hampered by bags, n we were already super tired from running up and down staircases with the newspapers. Took MRT to Ang Mo Kio. There, we went to the Food Centre place, n we waited in front and wondered about for about 3 mins before we realised P Darick and Bro ZhiCao were at the BACK!!!! Argh! Then we of course, told them we waited for SO long, then P Da asked how long we waited, then someone decided to exaggerate and say 10 mins, but P Da and Bro ZhiCao didn't believe us, so i decided to make it more realistic and said '1/2 an hr!' P Da was like... yeah rite! But, i mean, i already knew i was right. I didn't need him to tell me. :p We were made to eat roasted ants! yuck! 2 pieces per person, or it cld've been one ant broken into 2. Who knows? Of course, we weren't told what it was til we ate it. It wasn't so bad coz we ate it with the chocolate ice kachang. And thank goodness it was only ants, coz during fear factor last yr, we had to pass dead cockroaches to each other. Aniwae, we finished the task quickly and headed to Toa Payoh. I smsed shinnie and asked her what 'God loves you' was in french. She told me what God likes you was. Haha. Den she told me what 'love' was and asked me to chuck it in myself. The result i got was dieu vous amour. Til now i dunno whether its correct or wrong coz we had 6 dif languages just to be safe. We finished, ran to the bus stop, caught the bus and guess who we met? None other then Chloe's team who had been ahead of the bus a lot! They were at the back of hte bus, so ahma n sis limin were plotting on how we cld all get out before them. Coz we were neck and neck now and whoever got out of the bus first wld win. haha, ahma had a silly suggestion, bribe the driver and get him to onli open the front door. So funny... haha. Aniwae, since chloe's grp was at the back of the bus, we got out first, naturally, seeing that we were blocking up the whole exit. The first person to get out from Chloe's team was Chloe of course, my fellow RG TnF tracker, my jie, and a jolly gd sprinter she is. Chloe, Amanda and I raced to the finish. Amanda had a headstart for she was the first off the bus. Chloewas after me, but caught up with me coz my back came undont and i cldn't run. Actually, its not realli my bags fault, I am slower den Chloe. Chloe was slow on staircase of overhead bridge, thus Amanda reached first! Den Chloe, n me! N we re all so proud of each other, COZ WE'RE ALL FROM RGS!!! RGS RAWKZ! But den, we had to wait for all the other team members to arrive. And since we got off first, we reached first, so we beat Chloe's grp when they shd have beaten us instead for they had been faster den us all along, and got onto the bus first. Aniwae, Chloe's and my grp came in 5th and 6th. Not to bad, out of 13. We went and found Char, and told her that Hadley, Tarbet and Waddle rawk, but Buckle doesn't, coz Char's in Buckle. But I think Char doesn't like Buckle, she agreed aith us that Buckle doesn't rawk. So traitory rite? After that, PGT preached about the Amazing Race, the one as a Christian, and how we do not want to miss out on the prize. Overall, it was a really really eventful day.
